| Meditation has been proven to be beneficial physically, mentally, and spiritually. Here are some tips to assist you in improving your meditation practice. |
- Once you have found your mantra, you can use it during meditation or any other time when you want to be calm and focused by saying it over and over - either out loud or to yourself - focusing on the words and their meaning while repeating them.
|
- Our Meeting Your Spirit Guides meditation can also be used to meet with your departed loved ones. At soon as you enter the garden, while listening to the recording, simply state your request - who you would like to meet with - and then visualize them coming down the pathway toward you either alone or with your spirit guide. You can then spend the rest of the meditation visiting with this loved one.

- Stress creates an active mind. There will be times when your conscious mind simply does not want to be quiet. It is at these times that maintaining your meditation schedule is even more important than ever. By taking a few moments to become quiet, the mind settles down and your thinking becomes clearer and less frantic.

- The Chinese call our life force energy "chi" (pronounced chee). They believe that this chi energy flows up and down our spine - from the base of the spine all the way up to the top of our head. By opening up the energy centers along this path our chi energy flows more freely thereby enhancing our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The energy centers located on this path are known as chakras. Meditating upon each of these chakras and the flow of chi energy is helpful to enhance the flow of life force energy. Our Chakra Alignment meditation has been designed to align the chakra energy centers and to enhance the flow of chi energy.

- Self discipline is a difficult character attribute to master. Meditating especially when we don't feel like it is extremely beneficial. Many times it is when we are closest to a breakthrough in our meditation practice that we least want to meditate. Having self discipline and continuing with our meditation schedule during these times will give us the greatest results.

- In your daily meditation take 5 minutes and practice being an observer. To do this simply set your attention at your third eye (that spot on your forehead directly between your eyebrows) and just watch what goes by. Be the observer. Notice your thoughts and feelings as they pass by and remember that you are merely watching. When you get caught up in the experience of these thoughts or feelings, gently set your attention back at your third eye and begin watching again.
|
- Try setting your attention on one of your chakra energy centers while meditating. Spend your entire meditation focused on this one energy center. By setting your attention here and watching what goes by you may gleen some interesting insights about your spiritual health in the area that you are focused on. See our page on Chakras for more information on each energy center.

- Mindfulness is the art of being aware of each moment as it happens. It is being fully present in the now. Practicing mindfulness is a great stress reliever! To begin identify some item to act as a reminder for you to bring you back to the present moment. This could be a note that you place on your desk in front of you or a string tied around your finger. This reminder should be something that you will notice often and something that is not a normal part of your day. Whenever you look at this item it should remind you to come back to the present moment. When reminded of your present moment - notice everything around you and within you for just this moment. Nothing exists except this moment - right now.
